Cluff Ranch Pond #3 Closed to access.

  Cluff Ranch Pond #3 Closed   THATCHER, Ariz. – The Arizona Game and Fish Department has temporarily closed Cluff Ranch Pond #3 to recreational activities so that it may be used by   U.S. Forest Service crews to help suppress the Frye Fire. The Cluff Ranch Ponds are located in the Cluff Ranch Wildlife Area off Cluff Ranch Road at the base of the Pinaleno Mountains.

Flagstaff and Williams area Fishing Report

Fishing is still excellent at Kaibab Lake and Dogtown Lake right now. Folks are catching big trout on Lower Lake Mary early in the morning and late in the evening out of boats and float tubes. Remember Knoll Lake is Closed to access because of the HighLine Fire Dogtown Lake is fishing well with some really nice rainbows being caught.  Folks are catching fish on green garlic powerbait or lures and flies.  Kaibab Lake received a bonus stocking of Channel Catfish on last Tuesday and another load last Friday. Aquatic invasive species (AIS) are unwanted non-native species whose introduction causes or is likely to cause economic or environmental harm, or harm to human health. AIS are one of the largest threats to our freshwater ecosystems and include plants, animals, and pathogens. One invasive species found in Arizona is the Apple snail. This species, among others, is listed as an Aquatic Invasive Species under the AZ Game and Fish Director’s Orders (A.R.S. § 17-255). Video: Catch some catfish in the Yuma and Wellton area!

It’s time to head out and catch some fish in the Yuma and Wellton area!  Council Avenue (Somerton), Yuma West Wetlands, Fortuna Pond, and the Golf Course Ponds in Wellton were all stocked this morning (June 9) with thousands of pounds of channel catfish. All the fish looked very healthy and ready to bite: Time to get out there and fish these ponds!

Williams and Flagstaff area fishing report — go fishing NOW!

Fishing is excellent at Kaibab Lake and Dogtown Lake right now.  Folks are catching big trout on Lower Lake Mary early in the morning and late in the evening. It is Pine Pollen season in the Flagstaff and Williams area so you may notice the yellow pine pollen floating on the lakes! Dogtown Lake We stocked a load of bonus trout from Colorado into Dogtown Monday morning.  The fish averaged about ¾ of a pound.  Folks were catching them right after we stocked on spinners, spoons and PowerBait.  Folks are doing great on Green garlic PowerBait and rainbow PowerBait today....

His company has been our provider of warmwater fish (catfish, bass, sunfish, crappie, triploid grass carp, etc) for several years. The importance of his role in maintaining the Community Fishing Program with catfish, sunfish, and other species as needed is crucial. But he’s attentive to angler needs in other areas. Recently informed that there were 8,000 2- to 3-inch tiger bass available (tiger bass are a genetic cross between a Florida strain and northern strain largemouth bass), Coffman had some options.
